Francesca Cesa Bianchi

Vice President, Institutional Relations, G3ict

Francesca Cesa Bianchi is a member of the G3ict’s founding team, she served as G3ict’s Incorporator and since its inception as Secretary of its Board. In her capacity as VP of Institutional Relations, she oversees G3ict’s relations with international organizations, advocacy organizations, governments and academia and is responsible for G3ict’s advocacy and capacity development programs in support of the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). She serves as key contact point with the International Telecommunication Union, the United Nations Global Compact, the Secretariat for the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and represents G3ict at the Civil Society Steering Committee for the Conference of States Parties to the CRPD.

Ms. Cesa Bianchi directs the agenda of the M-Enabling Summit, G3ict’s conference promoting accessibility innovations for persons with disabilities organized in partnership with EJ Krause and Associates and helped promote its international editions, including the M-Enabling Forum Europe.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Cesa Bianchi served as a freelance writer for CNN Interactive/CNN Italia, as an accredited election observer for the Carter Center’s Americas Program, as Communications Director for the Georgia Council for International Visitors, and as Program Director for CIFAL Atlanta, the North American affiliate of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). Ms. Cesa Bianchi speaks fluent English, Spanish, Italian, and French and holds both a M.A. in Communication/Media Studies from Georgia State University and a Master’s degree (Laurea) in Political Science/International Relations from the Universitá degli Studi of Milan, Italy.
